Caelus Health is a spin-off from Amsterdam University Medical Center and Wageningen University & Research. Based on research from Amsterdam UMC’s Prof. Max Nieuwdorp and WUR’s Prof. Willem de Vos, this Amsterdam-based biotech company uses their in-depth knowledge of the microbiome for the development and commercialization of microbiota-based products to prevent and treat cardiometabolic disorders, including Diabetes, and other unmet medical needs.
Caelus Health is one of the few companies that can effectively capture the value of Microbiome Therapeutics through their solid preclinical and early-stage clinical development approaches. The current pipeline includes therapies for Diabetes Mellitus Type 1 and Type 2, cancer cachexia and auto-immune disease.
